HOLGA FUN!

I love my HOLGA! What is a holga? In a nutshell it is a plastic toy camera. It has adjustments for supposedly changing the shutter speed and focus, but don't be fooled they don't work. THAT IS AOK. One thing I learned in college is that we learn everything we can to predict the outcome...so knowing your camera, film, metering, all that business is so you know what you will get in the end. With the holga I love letting all of that out the door and getting happy accidents. It really seems to produce this dream like image. The selective focusing, the vignetting due to light leaks and the medium format all help to capture beautiful images. I took these about a year and a half ago in Maui...I just developed them...can you say procrastinater? These are some of my favorites. Taken with medium format 400 spd film. Another cool thing about the holga is you can change it to a square or rectangular format or you can even adapt it to fit 35 mm film. Check back for more accidents..
