In preparation for Olivia's First communion, her mother wanted to take some photos at the Cathedral of the Madelaine downtown. I was double excited because 1. I've never done a "first communion shoot" and 2. I love the Cathedral. It is an amazing building, which, by the way, is celebrating 100 years this year. WOW. anyway, the murals and stained glass leant themselves to some colorful images. Because of the indoor situation, I had to bump up my ISO, but I found that I really liked the grain in some of the images...namely 3rd one down. Isn't she just sweet?

Angie Seare Photography//Salt Lake City Newborn Photography
Let it be known that my clients take first priority and if I say I will get your images edited within 1-1 1/2 weeks, I mean it! That being said, when it comes to my website or blog, they kind of take the backseat. I have finally created an up-to-date NEWBORN gallery. All pictures featured in the gallery as of now were from 2008-current. I feel that as a newborn photographer I have evolved, changed, grown, whatever you want to call it, in such a way that I wanted to be sure to reflect the photographer that I am TODAY.
So I realize I don't have an "about" section that tells you a whole lot about me or what I do. I want to tell you about the newborn sessions and me. I love going into a home with young parents and a new baby. There is something so tender and sweet about being able to go into a home and be a part of this new experience for you and your family. Even though I spend a short 1-2 hours, I always walk away thankful you have invited me into your home. When I photograph newborns I try to keep things simple, personal and intimate. My goal is to capture images that will withstand the trends of today and last for a lifetime as a beautiful memory and piece of art. I work with natural light and I try to include the environment baby lives in, blankets and small accessories (baby's first teddy), as well as mom and dad to create a more intimate image. I want to capture just who your baby is...the sweet look in his eyes, the soft point of his chin, any little detail that can help you remember just how precious your little baby was when he first came home. I look forward to meeting many more new little babies!
